The Public Relations Office develops, coordinates and directs public relations activities for the tribe by following essential duties and responsibilities such as keeping the media informed, when necessary, on tribal matters or newsworthy events by writing and editing press releases to develop and maintain good working relations with the media including local and national sources.
The P.R. office also makes arrangements for interviews between Kiowa Tribal Officials with press, radio and television and often creating and initiating public relations campaigns after researching avenues that may prove to be beneficial to the tribe’s future. The Public Relations office will use all forms of media and communications to build, maintain and manage the reputation of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma.
Public Relations Officer is also responsible for Website Management,
Publishing the Kiowa Newsletter and producing the weekly radio show, “Kiowa Voices”.
