The Kiowa Tribe Head Start is an early childhood development program with two options, center-based and home-based. Head Start provides children with activities that help them grow mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically. Head Start children socialize with others, solve problems, and have other experiences which help them become self-confident. Center-based children attend Head Start on a part-time basis, five days a week (Monday through Friday). Home-based children receive one educational visit per week for 90 minutes and attend two socialization activities per month. Home visits are conducted in the home of the child.
