Employment & training services for those residing in Kiowa, Caddo, Jackson, Tillman, Harmon, and Greer counties. A member of a federally recognized tribe, and meet income guidelines in accordance to all regulatory requirements.


NOTICE


The Kiowa Tribe Supplemental Youth Service (SYS) Program is beginning the recruitment process for the supplemental youth service program. The summer session of the program will begin in June this year.

The assessments and orientation will be the third week of June. The pre-application process began on April 28th.

The pre-application is a short form and will only require the information to determine eligibility in accordance to income guidelines as defined by the Department of Labor.

If an applicant successfully completes the pre-screening process they will be issued a questioner for specified activity requested (classroom training or work) and will be required to submit additional documentation to complete the eligibility process as detailed in the intake flow chart.

All in-School youth must be passing all the required classes to be eligible to work. All Out-of School youth must have a high school diploma or GED to be eligible to work. Questioner and Recommendation deadline is Tuesday June 2nd.

To be Eligible you must be a member of a federally recognized tribe, reside within the Kiowa Tribe’s Services Delivery area which are Caddo, Kiowa, Jackson, Tillman, Harmon, and Greer Counties,  and applicants must be between the ages of 16-24 and must be 16 or not turn 25 before a deadline of June 2nd.

Those applications will be processed and point will be issued in accordance to the point system and the selection process will be done by the SYS staff. The selection process will be June 13-14

Those selected will be notified to be a participant on the summer session along with a letter of acceptance that details a list of required trainings to be returned to the SYSP office.
